Ladakh, a part of Jammu & Kashmir State in north of India consisting of two districts Leh and Kargil. Leh with an area of 45110 Sq Km makes it largest district in the country in terms of area.
Leh India is one of the favorite tourist destinations located in the northernmost parts of the country. Lapped in the snow-covered fringes of the Himalayas, Leh India has been the center of Tibeto-Buddhist culture since ages. Its colorful gompas have attracted the devout Buddhists from all over the globe. Besides, it is also a favorite hiking locale and is known for some of the best hikes in India.
In geological terms, this is a young land, formed only a few million years ago by the buckling and folding of the earth's crust as the Indian sub-continent pushed with irresistible force against the immovable mass of Asia. Its basic contours, uplifted by these unimaginable tectonic movements, have been modified over the millennia by the opposite process of erosion, sculpted into the form we see today by wind and water.
Day 01: Leh
Meeting assistance on arrival & transfer to hotel. Full day for acclimatization which is 3500 Mtrs. Above the sea level. In the in the evening short walk around the Leh bazaar. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 02:In Leh
Leave for full Day excursion to the famous monasteries, it is interesting to visit early in the morning to enjoying the praying ceremony at Thiksey monastery. Continue drive to Hemis monastery which is one of the famous monastery of the Ladakh region. On the way back visit to Shey palace. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 03: In Leh
Leave After breakfast full day excursion to Khardongla pass which is the highest motorable pass pass in the world 5600 mtrs. above sea level & has been recorded in the Gunnies book of world records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow capped mountains.Enroute visit Sanker, Spituk & Phyang evening return to hotel for Dinner and Overnight stay. PM, free for personal activites /explore the local bazaar, Tibetan Market ,SOS village dinner & overnight stay in hotel.
Day 04: Leh-Delhi
Morning transfer to airport to board the scheduled flight for onward destination.
