Ladakh, a part of Jammu & Kashmir State in north of India consisting of two districts Leh and Kargil. Leh with an area of 45110 Sq Km makes it largest district in the country in terms of area.
Leh India is one of the favorite tourist destinations located in the northernmost parts of the country. Lapped in the snow-covered fringes of the Himalayas, Leh India has been the center of Tibeto-Buddhist culture since ages. Its colorful gompas have attracted the devout Buddhists from all over the globe. Besides, it is also a favorite hiking locale and is known for some of the best hikes in India.
In geological terms, this is a young land, formed only a few million years ago by the buckling and folding of the earth's crust as the Indian sub-continent pushed with irresistible force against the immovable mass of Asia. Its basic contours, uplifted by these unimaginable tectonic movements, have been modified over the millennia by the opposite process of erosion, sculpted into the form we see today by wind and water.
Day 01: Leh
Arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our representative & transfer to the hotel. Lunch at hotel. Complete day for rest to get acclimatization with the high altitude at Leh (Ladakh) which is 3500 mtrs. above sea level. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Leh.
Morning half day tour of Spituk & Phyang monasteries by jeeps. At the time of lunch return back to hotel. Afternoon visit by foot to kings palace, Leh Mosque, Leh Gompa & Leh bazaar. In the evening back to the hotel. Dinner & overnight at hotel
Day 03: Leh-Khardongla pass-Leh (85 kms.)
After breakfast full day excursion to Khardongla pass which is the highest motorable pass pass in the world 5600 mtrs. above sea level & has been recorded in the Gunnies book of world records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow capped mountains. In the evening back to hotel. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Leh-Pangong lake Leh (290 kms.)
Leave early morning at 5 A.M Pangong lake through Changla pass (5486 mtrs.). Arrive Durduk & from there a short drive you to Lukung at the western shore of the lake & drive along the Pangong lake upto Spangmik (8 kms.) the last point allowed for tourists. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the lake. This famous blue brackish lake of Pangong is 5/6 kms. wide & over 114 kms long with half of its running the other side of the “INDO CHINA BORDER”. In the late afternoon drive to Leh. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Leh-Sarchu (250 kms.)
Full day drive to Sarchu via Upshi & we have to cross 2nd highest motorable pass in the world (Taglangla pass 5350 mtrs.) At Pang we stop for lunch continue drive to Lachungla pass rugged in the middle of the mountains. Arrive Sarchu tonight our camp will be at 4200 mtrs & it will be the coldest night during the whole tour. Dinner & overnight at tents.
Day 06 : Sarchu – Jispa – Manali ( 256 Kms.)
Sarchu is thje border line between Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh after 20 Kms. Drive we enter into Himachal Pradesh and we reach Baralacha La Pass ( 4883 Mts.) here on the top there is a lake known as Surat Tal . After short drive we reach Keylong the head District in this area continue drive to Manali. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07 : Manali .
Halt at Manali for Lavish display and visit 400 Yrs. Old Pagoda Temple of Hadimba Devi Temple and Olod Manali to see Manu Temple after noon one can visit to the vaisht Hot Sulphel Srping Bath . Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day 08 : Manali - Buntar – Airport or Bus Stand
After breakfasr transfer in time to the Burtar airport or Bus Stand.
