South India, also known as Peninsular India, consists of the peninsular southern part of India. It encompasses the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana.
Day 01: Day 01: Arrival Trivandrum / Kovalam
Arrival in Trivandrum airport and move to the Kovalam for the hotel check in. overnight stay in Kovalam.
Day 02: Trivandrum Sightseeing
After refreshment, proceed with Trivandrum sightseeing. (Monuments remain closed on all Mondays and Forenoons of all Wednesdays). Visit Padmanaba Swamy temple, Napier museum, Shri chitra art gallery and enclaves, Kuthiramalika palace, Kovalam beach and light house. Overnight stay in Trivandrum hotel.
Day 03: Trivandrum – Kanyakumari -90Kms 3.5Hrs drive
Today morning after having breakfast start drive to Kanyakumari to visit Kumari Amman temple, Vivekananda rock memorial, Valluvar statue and Gandhi Mandapam. While returning back, you will visit Padhmanabapuram palace (remains closed on all Mondays and Forenoons of all Wednesdays), Suchindram temple. Return back to Trivandrum hotel
Day 04: Kanyakumari – Rameshwaram – 350Kms 6.5Hrs drive
Today morning after having breakfast start drive to Rameshwaram up on arrival check in to the hotel and in the evening visit Ramanathaswamy temple and overnight stay in Rameshwaram.
Day 05: Rameshwaram – Madurai – 180Kms approx. 3.5Hrs drive
After the breakfast start driving to the Madurai before that visit Dhanushkodi and move to Madurai Up on arrival check in to the hotel and visit Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopuram, rising high above the surrounding country side. Later overnight stay in Madurai
Day 06: Madurai – Tanjore En-Route Trichy – 200Kms approx. 4.5Hrs drive
After the breakfast visit Thirumalai Nayak mahal and later start drive to Tanjore, en-route visiting Trichy to see Srirangam Sri Renganathaswamy temple and the 83m high Rock Fort Temple in the center of the city of Trichy. Later continue drive to Tanjore. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 07: Tanjore – Pondicherry – 200Kms approx. 5.5Hrs drive
After the breakfast we visit the Brahadeeswarar temple and we visit the Tanjore Palace & Saraswathi Mahal. Later we move to the Pondicherry and check in the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 08: Pondicherry
After the breakfast visit sightseeing of Pondicherry including, Matrimandir The Matrimandir is an edifice of spiritual significance for practitioners of Integral yoga, situated at the Centre of Auroville initiated by The Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Promenade Beach, Manakula Vinayagar Temple and later drive back to Hotel and Overnight at Hotel.
Day 09: Pondicherry – Mahabalipuram – Chennai – 190Kms approx. 4Hrs drive
After the breakfast start drive to the Chennai, en-route visiting of Mahabalipuram to shore temple after the temple visit we drive to Chennai and hotel check in. overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 10: Chennai
After the breakfast at hotel. Kapaleshwara Temple dedicated to God Shiva and offers a good example of South IIndian colorful temple architecture. Visit Fort St. George (Closed on Fridays) & the 16th century Portuguese old Cathedral of St. Thomas Church in which the remnants of St. Thomas is buried who came to India in 52 AD. In the evening, a stroll on the famous Marina Beach. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 11: Chennai Departure
Today on time you will be transferred to the Chennai airport to board the flight.
